David Woje (Audio Engineer, Sound Designer, Field Recordist, Composer) and Aslı Yalçın (Field Recordist, Co-Founder at Vadi Sound) talk about audio storytelling and telling the stories of others and nature through field recording.
David has been in audio for over 20 years, starting with his high school rock band, leading to his interest in 3D/ spatial audio and heading up to his recent but already popular Ambisonic Spaces podcast.
Ambisonic Spaces podcast features immersive soundscapes that highlight other field recordists’ stories. One of these field recordists was Vadi Sound co-founder Enis Çakar. He shared his waterways recordings from Mount Ida in Northwestern Türkiye – home to ancient Greek mythology.
